Ocean Auto Glass opened in Rockland County in 2024, bringing north the windshield and calibration operation we’d run in Ocean County, NJ since 2014. Our shop sits at 1 Augur Rd in Airmont — central to Monsey, Spring Valley, New Square and Suffern, with mobile installation available anywhere in the county.
For most Rockland drivers that comes down to two things: the windshield you need is usually in stock for same-day work, and ADAS calibration gets done indoors here in the county — not at a dealership an hour away, and not in a parking lot.
Our Airmont location shares inventory with the original Ocean County warehouse in Toms River, so we stock far more glass than a single storefront could on its own. We carry what actually breaks around here — the Siennas, Odysseys, Highlanders and Camrys that fill Monsey driveways — which is why most jobs are same-day instead of a week-long wait for a part to ship in.
If your vehicle has a forward-facing camera aimed through the windshield — Honda Sensing, Toyota Safety Sense, Subaru EyeSight — it has to be recalibrated after the glass is replaced. Most automakers require it, and a camera that’s even a few millimeters off can leave automatic braking and lane-keep assist reacting to the wrong spot.
We calibrate indoors at the Airmont facility, on a level floor with controlled lighting and manufacturer target boards. When a job calls for static calibration, we pick the car up and bring it back — you don’t drive around uncalibrated, and you don’t lose your day to it.
The roads here get heavily salted through the winter, so rock chips and pitting pick up fast once the plows are out. Then the freeze-thaw cycle does the rest: water works into a chip, expands as it freezes overnight, and levers the crack a little wider each morning. A chip that looks minor in December is often a windshield-length crack by February — and once it’s spread, replacing the glass is the safe fix, not a patch. Catch damage early and call before the next cold snap; on many policies comprehensive covers the full replacement, calibration included.
Call your insurer about a windshield and you’ll usually be routed to Safelite’s claims line, since most carriers use Safelite Solutions as their third-party administrator. That routing makes it feel like Safelite is your only option. It isn’t — you have the right to choose your own shop. Tell them you’re using Ocean Auto Glass and we’ll file the claim and bill the carrier directly.
We built the Ocean County shop by being the one the community calls first, and we came into Rockland the same way. In 2024 we became a preferred glass provider for Hatzalah of Rockland and Chaveirim — organizations that don’t tolerate a job done halfway. We also work with collision shops across the county on R&I (removal and installation), keeping their repairs on schedule.

“Certain sensor calibrations that my vehicle needed (something Safelite wasn't willing to do)”
“One third of the price that the dealership wanted”
“They arrived at my house promptly, making the whole process incredibly convenient”

It depends on your vehicle and whether it has an ADAS camera. As a rough guide for Monsey and Rockland County: • Standard windshield, no camera: around $400 • Windshield that needs ADAS calibration: from about $700 — up to around $3,500 on high-end vehicles (HUD, acoustic, or OEM-only glass) • Side and door glass: from about $350 Many modern vehicles have several windshield variants, so the exact price comes down to your specific glass. Give us your year, make, model, and VIN and we'll quote the cash and insurance price plainly — and with full glass coverage on a New York comprehensive policy, your out-of-pocket cost is usually $0.
We do full windshield and auto glass replacement only — we don't patch chips. A chip can look minor, but Rockland's salted roads and freeze-thaw winters push it into a crack fast, and once damage reaches the edge of the glass or crosses your line of sight a patch can't restore it to safe strength anyway. We install new glass and recalibrate the camera behind it so it's right. Send a photo if you're unsure and we'll tell you honestly what the glass needs.
Yes. Mobile windshield replacement happens at your home or workplace anywhere in Monsey, Spring Valley, New Square, Suffern, Airmont, New City, and Chestnut Ridge. For vehicles that need static ADAS calibration we bring the car to our indoor facility in Airmont, calibrate it, and return it — usually the same day.
Yes. Alongside windshields we replace door glass, quarter glass, and rear windshields — matched to your vehicle, sealed, and tested before we leave. We share inventory with our original Ocean County warehouse and stock what breaks most around here (Sienna, Odyssey, Highlander, Camry), so it's often available for same-day work.
Most installations run about 60–90 minutes, and the adhesive then needs a safe drive-away time before the car is ready. If your vehicle needs static ADAS calibration, we handle it indoors at the Airmont facility — same day in most cases.
Often, yes. On a New York comprehensive policy with full glass coverage, the carrier typically covers the whole job, calibration included; without it, your comprehensive deductible applies. You'll likely be routed to Safelite's claims line, but you choose your own shop — name Ocean Auto Glass and we'll file the claim and bill the carrier directly.
If your vehicle has a forward-facing camera for automatic braking or lane-keep assist — most cars built since about 2018 — then yes, the manufacturer requires recalibration once the glass is replaced. We do it indoors at our Airmont facility on a level floor with manufacturer target boards, never a parking-lot shortcut, so the safety systems work the way they should when you drive off.
Tell us your vehicle and we'll come to you — most installs run 60–90 minutes, and we file the insurance claim for you.
